Launching the First Neuroscience Conference in ALHASSA

The neuroscience center at Almoosa Specialist Hospital held the first neuroscience conference in the region to shed light on nervous system- related diseases, in order to identify the latest Neurosurgery Treatments and Technologies in addition to exchanging experiences between doctors and all the workers in this field.

16 speakers have participated throughout the day, highlighting the latest developments in neuroscience, behavioral Science and therapeutic methods. all of which are currently experiencing major development regarding: pediatric brain tumors, pediatric skull deformities, modern classified epilepsy,migraines treatment, MS , Cerebral hypoxia, depression in adults and children and the latest treatments and rehabilitation of mental diseases.

This came along with participation of speakers from outside the hospital including: Dr. Saeed Boo Heleja – Consultant Neurologist, President of the Saudi Neurological Society and President of the Arab Society of Neurology – who spoke about MS . Dr. Faisal Al-Otaiby -neurology ,epilepsy and involuntary movement consultant – at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, who spoke about surgical treatments for epilepsy.Dr. Ibrahim Al-Ahmed – Consultant Pediatric Neurosurgery- at King Fahd Hospital in AlHASSA, who talked about pediatric skull abnormalities. The Conference provided 8 hours continuing medical education (CME) accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
