Rezūm Technology

Using water vapor therapy, this minimally invasive procedure has shown to reduce the symptoms of BPH significantly. Rezūm therapy is completed in a single visit; there is no need for ongoing treatment.

It works by delivering tiny amounts of steam to the enlarged prostate. This process damages the cells causing obstruction, thus reducing the prostate’s overall size and the symptoms associated with BPH.

What is BPH?

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) — also called prostate gland enlargement — is common as men get older. An enlarged prostate gland can cause uncomfortable urinary symptoms, such as blocking the urine flow out of the bladder. It can also cause bladder, urinary tract, or kidney problems.

Symptoms associated with BPH:

  • Weak urine stream.
  • Trouble starting the flow of urine.
  • Starting and stopping again when urinating.
  • Not emptying your bladder completely.
  • Urinating more often, especially at night.
  • Sudden urges to urinate.
  • Leaking or dribbling after you urinate.
  • Straining to urinate.

Urinary Tumors

  • Cystoscopy and bladder tumors removed through the urethra.
  • Radical cystectomy and urethra repair.
  • Radical removal of prostate.
  • Radical kidney and ureter removal.
  • Radical orchiectomy.
  • Rossum technology for treating prostate enlargement with water vapor.
