Almoosa Specialist Hospital Signs A Two Million SR Contract with Turquoise Mountain To Support Local Crafts.

To support local craftsmanship and encourage heritage works and cultural arts from all over the Kingdom, ASH signed a two million SR contract with Turquoise Mountain.

“Art is therapy; it is essential in promoting wellness and improving the treatment journey; this initiative aims at producing a set of artworks made by local craftsmen to be displayed in the Almoosa Rehabilitation and long-term care center. Most of the contract value would go to the craftsmen directly, to ensure the sustainability and development of the craft and to provide the craftsmen with a steady source of income and a decent life,” says Sarah Almoosa, Marketing, and CSR director

About Almoosa for Rehabilitation & LTC center
The new facility will be rehabilitation and long-term care oasis in the region, including rehabilitation programs for sports injuries, bone injuries for adults and children, spinal injuries, and neural and brain injuries.

The rehabilitation and long-term care center will be in Eastern province Al Ahsa. It is designed as a micro village that embraces nature and the surrounding landscape.
The master plan takes its inspiration from the Al-Ahsa region’s natural landform of an oasis, while the building design fosters healing through its connection to nature. The new facility will stand as the northern gateway to Al-Ahsa, leaving a lasting impression as a striking landmark.

Turquoise Mountain was founded in 2006 by Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, to revive historic areas and traditional crafts, provide jobs, skills, and a renewed sense of pride.
Prince Charles personally follows up all projects from around the world and has shown a particular interest in the Almoosa Rehabilitation project, where he expressed his admiration for this beautiful mix between art, culture, and health
